Damen allowed a smile then, relaxing slightly as Erasmus appeared to be somewhat calmed. 'They have a word for that here,' he explained, giving Erasmus's shoulder another brief squeeze before leading him once more toward the train station. 'It's called a job or work. Essentially the same as having a trade in our world though the opportunities are more vast.'

He was quiet for a moment then, thinking over all he could further tell Erasmus. All he should. Then said, 'You will be assigned a dwelling. As far as I know, there are no rules stating you must reside there, but that space will be specifically set aside for you. Would it be a greater comfort to you to stay with me for some time?'
